For last two days in Prague (2-3 April 2012) representatives of Polish trade unions have taken part in the meeting of the member organizations of the future European Industry Workers` Federation - EIWF from Central and Eastern Europe. The aim is to get inform directly about the new structure of the EIWF, discuss together who could be the candidate for the Steering Committee, and last but not least – what could be the benefit, structure and target of a regional network in the region.
EIWF is being formed by the merger of three European trade union federations: EMF - European Metalworkers' Federation, EMCEF - European Mine, Chemical and Energy Federation and ETUF: TCL European Trade Union Federation: Textile, Clothing and Leather.
EMCEF initiated a solidarity action for our colleagues from SIPTU working for the US multinational GE Healthcare in Cork, Ireland.
Our project „YES FOR COAL. STOP THE GLOBAL ANTICOAL CAMPAIGN” is continuing .
We still receive our allies` support.
